About Kootching

My name is Nicole Koot, a certified master coach for executives and highly educated professionals. I prefer to describe myself through the eyes and experiences of my clients. Clients characterize me as empathetic, analytical, results-oriented, passionate, and determined to make a difference.

Recently, a client described me using four words:

  • Engaged: You engage in deep conversations, where you genuinely inquire and get to the core of the issue.
  • Available: You are available both by appointment and, when necessary.
  • Bold: You dare to provide constructive opposition.
  • Trustworthy: You keep your commitments, and our conversations are absolutely confidential.

I would like to add one more word myself. The verb ‘to be’: I am myself, and you are allowed to be yourself too. In all your facets, with your strengths and weaknesses. That’s why we are so effective together.

Why you want to come to me for coaching sessions?

You are a professional who takes her work seriously. You know what you’re doing, are precise, maintain a good overview throughout the sessions, hold on to the common thread toward my desired results, and ask questions that make me think. I come to you because I want a different kind of conversation.

Senior Lecturer, Hotelschool The Hague

For me it is important to explain that I take my profession seriously. Coaching is an unregulated profession. That’s why I chose to become accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF) and have been classified by them as a Master Certified Coach (MCC). I opted for the ICF because this organization is dedicated to continuously elevate the coaching profession to a higher level. In my experience, working in accordance with the ICF core competencies  genuinely enhances the effectiveness and depth of your conversations. This, in turn, helps clients in achieving results throughout the coaching process.

What does this say about me? It means that I am committed to achieving results, strive for excellence, and place a high value on personal development.

How I coach?

I pay significant attention to the coaching question, ensuring that we uncover the underlying issue and work on the right problem. I do this at the beginning of the coaching process and at the start of each session. This means that I don’t follow a fixed format, because every client is unique. It’s all about tailoring the coaching experience!

I believe that through a strong connection with the client, you can address anything. That’s why people know me as someone who is not only empathetic but can also be confronting and provide sharp feedback without being judgmental.

With my years of experience, I can almost always ask the right questions and provide the right tools at the right moment. Through my questions, we unlock your potential and knowledge; we do it together. All the way through, we keep your goal in mind and work towards the result you desire.

For whom am I the suitable coach?

I coach (boardroom) executives and highly educated professionals. Having been actively engaged in the business world for many years, I understand what you’re dealing with, and you don’t need to explain much. We can dive right into the depth of your challenges. Through my extensive coaching experience (now 22 years), I have encountered a wide range of individuals and challenges, from professional issues to boardroom dynamics, which has further enriched my knowledge and experience. I have successfully helped many people advance in their personal development, career paths, and leadership inquiries [link] within numerous organizations [link].

My mottos

  1. It’s not about the context, but how you relate to the context.
  2. Problems should be resolved one level below where they originated.
  3. When it’s in your subconscious, it rules you. When it’s in your conscious, you have a choice.
